For two years running, Ely’s citizens and the surrounding communities have been waiting for the Ely Youth Recreational Facility. Now they will finally see the results of dedicated volunteers and hard work.
The building within the new recreational park has now been started, and concrete is due within the week.
After receiving appropriate building permits and a $50,000 grant from our area legislators through IRR the construction process is well underway.
Ely youth and adults also raised money by doing fundraisers like multiple Burger and Brat Bashes and holding a school dances.
The backbone behind this project is now the volunteers who are donating their time to help prepare the work sight and get the area ready to build. These are extra-ordinary people around town who care enough to give up their free time to help construct an awesome facility for there kids.
It will still be a while before the entirey of this park project is complete, but when it is, all the time and energy will have been worth it, and all those hard workers and volunteers will be able to see the fruit of their labor.
